We can have a better life
We just need to VOTE FOR IT
We believe...
- That a good society should take care of all its people.
- That our government is how we do that.
- That we elect politicians to make our lives and those of our family, friends and fellow citizens better.
but...
- Billionaires and big business want to control the government.
- So they buy politicians. Who then implement their will, not ours.
- And they lie to get us to fight each other, to distract us from what they're doing.
But we can all have a better life.
We all deserve a better life.
We just need to VOTE FOR IT.

Our Point of View
The only thing we care about is whether a candidate will make our lives better. So we ignore their:
- Party
- Gender
- Religion
- Race
- Job
- Whether you want to have a beer with them
- Anything else that isn't relevant to whether they'll make our lives better
If they're incumbents we look at their ACTIONS, and if they're running for the first time, we look at their WORDS.
Our Ratings
They Are Trying to Take Away OUR FREEDOMS
OUR FREEDOM TO VOTE
We all agree that in America our right to vote is sacred. That's what makes America special.
But if you were a billionaire or big business and you paid for politicians to do your bidding and didn't want to take a chance on them getting voted out, what would you do? You would make it harder for people to vote.
But you can't just take away people's right to vote, because they'd fight back. You need to manipulate and con them into taking away their own rights. And that's exactly what's happening.
The billionaires, big corporations and politicians who work for them made up a boogeyman - voter fraud. And even though voter fraud is miniscule in U.S. elections, they have funded and coordinated a finely-honed misinformation machine in order to gin up fear and then use that fear to suppress, restrict and eliminate our right to vote.
And so far they're getting away with it.
We need to fight back and preserve our fundamental right and freedom to vote before it's too late. We do this by not falling for the con, and only voting for the candidates that pledge to protect our right to vote.

OUR FREEDOM TO CHOOSE OUR POLITICIANS
Voters should choose their politicians, not the other way around. Right?
But that's not what billionaires and big business want. They want the politicians they bought to be able pick their voters so that they never lose power, so they change the voting maps unfairly. This is called gerrymandering. It makes elections unfair, lets leaders ignore us, and makes our votes count less. It's the very definition of cheating & corruption, and why a lot of people choose to not even bother voting.
Vote for candidates that believe that voters should chose their politicans, and who support bans on gerrymandering.
OUR FREEDOM TO MAKE CHANGE
All the states let us vote for our representatives, who then create our laws. But half of the states also let their citizens put proposals directly on the ballot and then pass them by popular vote. This is called direct democracy, and it lets us bypass our representatives, who may not be doing what we want them to, especially in gerrymandered states.
Can you guess who hates this? Who doesn't want to lose the absolute power and control that they have over our lives?
So politicians in many states are trying to take away direct democracy. They don't want us having the freedom and power to make changes, so they're doing everything they can to stop us.
Vote for candidates that believe that our voices matter.

WE HAVE POWER. Why else do you think they're working so hard to take it away? Don't let them.
The Elephant in the Room π
We ignore parties while evaluating whether candidates are going to make our lives better. But if you look at the candidates' parties afterward an obvious pattern emerges: more Democratic candidates get stars , and more Republican candidates get
's. How can this be the case if starvoters is truly non-partisan?
The answer to this is actually pretty simple:
The Republican party works for their billionaire and big business donors, and not for us. So all their policies make the lives of billionaires and big business better, and ours worse.
Don't believe me? Let's take a look at a few examples:
- Cutting taxes for the richest individuals and companies - directly puts more money in their pockets, while eliminating funding for things that benefit us, like schools, food programs, healthcare, Social Security, etc.
- Rolling back environmental protections - enables big businesses to plunder natural resources and destroy our environment in the name of profit. Which is going to make us all sicker. Luckily we all have good healthcare! Oh wait...
- Reducing access to healthcare - keeps us sick and poor, pays for tax cuts for the rich, and enables the healthcare industry to make more money from our suffering.
- Cutting Social Security - that fund that we've been paying into our entire careers so that we can retire with dignity? Republicans want to gut it.
- Cutting access to food programs for the poor - Because they need to pay for the tax cuts for the rich somehow. Who needs to eat anyway?
- The list goes on...
We are not billionaires. None of these policies will make our lives better. All of them will make our lives worse. This is why Republican candidates are getting
If you went to vote on these right now, you'd vote NO for sure - why in the world would you vote to make your own life worse?
So how are Republicans getting elected? They're doing 2 things:
- They distract us from their unpopular policies: the billionaires use their control of television, newspapers and social media to manufacture fear. Fear of immigrants, fear of transgender people, fear of black & brown people, fear of anyone that they can punch down on. "Those people" are going to rape and pillage and plunder and challenge our way of life and take what's ours. They pump that fear directly into our brains and then tell us that Republican candidates are the only ones who can save us. So when we're voting, that fear overwhelms everything else, and we end up voting for "saviors" who make our lives worse. And the "attack" that they were going to save us from? It never happens. Because it was all a lie, and "those people" are people just like us. They have hopes and dreams and want to live good lives and want what's best for their families.
This political cartoon captures it perfectly. The billionaire owner of Fox News, Rupert Murdoch, is warning us that a foreigner wants to take our one cookie, while he takes and hoards billions. He's trying to turn us against each other, so we don't notice that he's taken all the cookies. BUT HE HAS.
- They try to take away our power: our power to vote, to choose our politicians, and to make change.
Just look at how much money the billionaires are spending to buy politicians. 70% of that billionaire election spending is supporting the Republican party. Because that's the party that works for them, not for us.
